EdTech startup MemoryOS bags Angel One Fund cash for platform development

MemoryOS, an EdTech startup with Ukrainian-Swedish roots, has secured an undisclosed investment from Ukrainian venture capital fund Angel One Fund.

The firm was founded in 2019 by Alex Ruzh, a serial entrepreneur, and Jonas von Essen, a two-time world memory champion. Vadym Kovtun is in charge of finance, Paul Deretsky heads up marketing and customer service, and game developers, artificial intelligence experts, and neuroscientists are also involved. It combines a gamification approach, AI, and memorisation methods to improve users’ cognitive abilities.

EdTech startup MemoryOS bags investment from Angel One Fund for development of its platform

“We believe that our technology has the potential to change the way people learn and retain information. With results where 73% of users report a rapid improvement in their memory abilities and a 79% increase in recall accuracy, we are confident that memoryOS is a catalyst for change,” says Ruzh.

“In a world where information overload costs businesses about $900 billion annually in lost productivity and where workers process five times more data than a decade ago, our mission becomes even more important. We strive to help people overcome information overload and reduce the stress of constantly having to remember a huge amount of important information. This round of investment will allow us to develop the platform and help even more people around the world.”

memoryOS lays claim to being the most successful app in the history of Kickstarter, with over 500,000+ downloads worldwide, and has been recognised by Google Brands Accelerator as a product that is “light years ahead of any other company in the memory industry.”

The team is gearing up to release MemoryOS 2.0, which will include improved navigation, personalised learning experiences powered by AI, as well as enhanced skill tracking and community engagement.

“The investment in memoryOS aligns with our strategy to support technology solutions with Ukrainian roots that have strong potential for scalability and global competitiveness. The memoryOS team combines deep expertise in educational technology with a systematic approach to product development. We are confident that their innovative approach to memory enhancement can set new standards in the EdTech industry and shape the future of learning worldwide,” says Ivan Petrenko, Managing Partner at Angel One Fund.
