Early learning app Keiki World adds new features designed to support children with ADHD

Keiki World, an early learning app aimed at children aged between two- and six-years-old, has added new features specifically designed to support children with ADHD.

The features include an educational ADHD assessment, Smart Play activities, and a reading mode designed for neurodiverse learners.

While traditional games can overwhelm children with ADHD, Keiki World’s curated collection of games was designed specifically for these children by learning specialists.

The ADHD-friendly reading mode uses a specific font, optimized spacing and puts visual emphasis on key parts of words. Keiki World says research has shown that this format can improve reading speed for children with ADHD by reducing visual stress and allowing them to focus on comprehension.

The new features will also help parents notice differences in their children early and implement strategies at home. Although the ADHD features are said to be for educational and observational purposes only and cannot provide a diagnostic tool or medical advice.

“Our mission at Keiki is to prepare every child, regardless of pace or ability, to learn, adapt, and thrive in kindergarten, school, and beyond,” explains Inna Maksymenko, CEO of Keiki. “Keiki World has always been designed with neurodiverse learners in mind, and this ADHD Awareness Month, we’re taking that commitment further with new features that recognize and celebrate how different minds learn differently.”

Keiki World is available on the Apple App Store and offers a free seven-day trial.
