Udemy appoints Anshika Jain as VP to drive global direct-to-consumer growth

Udemy has named former Helly Hansen Chief Digital Officer Anshika Jain as Vice President of Global Direct to Consumer, strengthening its focus on AI-powered reskilling and digital learning.

Online learning platform Udemy has appointed Anshika Jain as Vice President of Global Direct to Consumer (DTC), according to a recent LinkedIn post from Jain. The company provides online courses and upskilling programs across technology, business, and AI-driven education.

Jain previously served as Chief Digital Officer at Helly Hansen, overseeing global eCommerce and digital transformation across multiple brands. Before that, she was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, advising global consumer firms on AI-enabled marketing and omnichannel growth.

In her announcement, Jain said she was “thrilled to share I’ve joined Udemy as VP of Global DTC—and grateful to Ramji Sundararajan and Hugo Sarrazin for bringing me on this mission.”

She highlighted the influence of her mother, a teacher who worked in rural communities: “She often said, ‘Teaching isn’t a job, it’s service—to give people access and exposure they wouldn’t otherwise have.’ That belief in learning as opportunity shaped how I see the world.”

Jain emphasized that Udemy’s goal “to transform lives through learning feels more urgent than ever,” as artificial intelligence reshapes how people work and build careers.

She added that her focus will be on “growing our global DTC business—making it easier for millions to find the right learning path, stick with it, and unlock new opportunities.”

Jain concluded, “Our AI-driven reskilling platform helps learners everywhere stay ahead, stay employable, and stay empowered.”
