Twinkl launches digital library of Disney educational resources as 81 percent of educators say characters improve learning outcomes

Twinkl, an educational resource provider, has announced a new collaboration with Disney in the UK, creating the UK’s largest digital library of expert-created educational resources for educators.

As the collaboration launches, Twinkl also shared the results of a survey of more than 2,630 UK teachers that found 81 percent said character-based content had improved learning and assessment outcomes in their classrooms.

The survey also found that 74 percent of teachers say learners are either “engaged” or “highly engaged” when using such materials and 91 percent said these resources “somewhat” or “strongly” supported students receiving special education services

“We are thrilled to be able to combine the world of Disney and educational resources for both school and home environments, helping to create even more compelling and engaging learning experiences,” says Jonathan Seaton, CEO and co-founder at Twinkl.

“With recent research showing that over four-fifths of teachers see better engagement when students are using themed content, and the vast majority observing improved learning outcomes via such resources, this collaboration can deliver real impact across all educational settings.”

The new collection aims to enrich the student experience with engaging content aimed at a wide range of learners. The resources cover English Language and Literacy, the arts, maths, science, and social studies, as well as social-emotional and special education.
