TKAT launches EducateHER digital toolkit to support women across its schools

The Kemnal Academies Trust introduces a new digital platform to support career development, wellbeing, and peer networks for staff across its UK school network.

The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT), a UK multi-academy trust (MAT), has launched a new digital platform called EducateHER designed to support women working across its schools.

The initiative brings together career development resources, wellbeing guidance, and peer networking as education organizations place greater focus on staff development and workplace inclusion.

TKAT said the EducateHER platform will act as a central hub for colleagues across the trust, providing resources and guidance on workplace support, health, and career progression.

EducateHER has been developed as an online resource space for staff working across TKAT schools.

The platform includes sections covering areas such as career development, mental health, menopause, pregnancy and birth, work and family, finance, transitioning and gender support, and professional learning opportunities.

According to TKAT, the site is intended to signpost information and support services while helping staff access guidance related to female health and wellbeing. The platform also aims to connect colleagues across the trust through shared experiences, advice, and professional learning resources.

Women’s network leads the initiative

Ella Roberts, Deputy Director of People and Culture at TKAT and founder of the trust’s Women’s Network, shared news of the launch on LinkedIn.

She wrote: “So proud to finally launch the new EducateHER digital toolkit as part of the Kemnal Women's Network.”

Roberts also highlighted the importance of allies in supporting workplace equality. She said: “Equality isn't a 'women's issue' - it's a human rights and organisational excellence issue. Seeing our male allies join the conversation shows that at Kemnal, we are all invested in each other's success.”

The platform was developed by members of the TKAT Women’s Network including Cat McKeever, Emma Heasman, and Tracey Waller.

TKAT said the initiative forms part of a wider effort to support professional development and wellbeing across its schools. The trust said empowering staff and providing development opportunities remains central to improving outcomes for students and strengthening school communities.

EducateHER is designed to provide practical information for staff at different stages of their careers while encouraging conversations about wellbeing, leadership development, and workplace support.
