Subaru partners with AdoptAClassroom.org to support high-needs schools with funding for classroom supplies
Car manufacturer Subaru has partnered with US non-profit AdoptAClassroom.org for a fifth year, providing teachers with funding for essential classroom supplies.

AdoptAClassroom.org says 92 percent of teachers work with students whose families cannot afford school supplies for children, leaving educators to cover the cost themselves. It says the average teacher in the US spends $895 of their own money on classroom supplies each year - a cost it says has increased by 50 percent since 2015.
Subaru says its support of the initiative is part of a wider commitment to be “more than a car company” and help ensure students and educators have the supplies they need.
Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc., says: "Helping nearly one million children in high-needs schools feel better prepared to learn and have access to the education they deserve is a rewarding feeling. Educators are among the top professions of Subaru owners, and as the largest corporate partner of AdoptAClassroom.org, we're proud to match their dedication with a program that has tangible results in their classrooms."
As part of the 2025 program, Subaru will support students in the Camden City School District, adopting 91 classrooms near the company’s headquarters.
Ann Pifer, Executive Director of AdoptAClassroom.org, adds: "Each year, we see a record-breaking number of students supported, thanks to the incredible commitment of Subaru and its strong community of retailers. As we mark our fifth year of partnership, we're proud to help provide critical educational opportunities and resources to classrooms across the country. This continued collaboration is a powerful testament to the impact we can make together."
