Only 2.8 percent of UK businesses say they are very prepared for incoming AI regulations, prompting Skillcast to introduce a company-specific AI assistant for compliance support

Skillcast has launched Aida, an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help organizations improve compliance training and address regulatory challenges tied to artificial intelligence.

The company specializes in delivering compliance eLearning, content management tools, and digital reporting platforms for businesses across the UK.

The new tool uses an organization’s own internal policy documents, combined with Skillcast’s existing course content, to deliver personalized responses to employee questions. Unlike general-purpose AI systems, Aida is configured to respond with policy-aligned information that remains confidential within the business.

Data privacy and AI oversight top concerns

The launch follows a survey conducted by Skillcast with more than 200 UK business decision-makers. According to the findings, only 2.8 percent of businesses say they feel “very prepared” to meet emerging AI compliance requirements. Seventy-eight percent cite data privacy as their top concern, while over half point to a lack of human oversight in AI decision-making.

The survey also found that 43 percent of respondents are actively exploring AI compliance tools like Aida, and 29 percent view AI training as essential. These trends suggest growing interest in practical, organization-specific solutions to improve preparedness.

AI assistant draws on internal compliance content

Aida operates by integrating company-specific policies with regulatory frameworks, offering employees targeted support on a wide range of compliance topics. According to Skillcast, the tool offers real-time assistance, confidential interaction, and tailored learning modules based on the user’s role and responsibilities.

Vivek Dodd, Chief Executive Officer at Skillcast, says: “Aida represents a major leap forward in how we deliver compliance training. It not only improves knowledge retention but also supports better decision-making in the workplace. A company’s compliance is only as resilient as the staff implementing it, and with Aida, we ensure that compliance messages are heard by every employee within an organisation, empowering them to navigate compliance challenges with confidence.

“Our goal has always been to make compliance more engaging and effective and Aida is a big step in that direction. It empowers employees to take ownership of their learning journey, ask questions in the moment and get concise, accurate answers from the organisation’s own information. This not only makes compliance training more accessible, but also ensures it's relevant and responsive. Compliance shouldn’t feel like a chore, and with AI enhancements, it doesn’t.”
