Phreesia and Sesame Workshop tie up delivers children’s health content in US doctors’ offices
Phreesia will work with Sesame Workshop to provide families with health information during children’s medical visits, using Sesame Street characters to promote preventive care and wellbeing.

Phreesia, a US digital platform used for patient intake and engagement, has entered into a five-year agreement with Sesame Workshop, the non-profit behind Sesame Street. The partnership will use Phreesia’s network to deliver health information to parents and carers at the point of care.
Campaigns are set to begin in October, targeting families with children under the age of five. As parents check in for medical appointments, they will see content developed by Sesame Workshop and adapted for Phreesia’s system. Messages will focus on preventive care such as vaccinations, screenings, and regular check-ups, alongside children’s emotional wellbeing.
Delivery model
Phreesia says its platform was used in around 170 million patient visits in 2024. They hope the new collaboration will reach millions of parents and carers through this digital infrastructure. Sesame Workshop will supply material from its library of health-related programming, featuring characters including Elmo and Cookie Monster.
Christina Suh, Director of Clinical Affairs at Phreesia, comments: “As a paediatrician, I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is to reach parents and caregivers with information that's relevant, actionable and easy to understand. Sesame Street continues to be one of the best messengers on these topics for families across the country, and I couldn’t be more excited to see how sharing powerful messages with these loveable characters at the point of care can support better health.”
Sesame Workshop has a long history of creating educational media for children. David Linetsky, President, Network Solutions at Phreesia, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Sesame Street to the Phreesia network. With their help, we’re turning wait time into a moment of learning and discovery, giving families the tools they need to talk to their doctors and tackle the big health challenges facing America’s parents today.”
Aaron Bisman, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing at Sesame Workshop, adds: “With a mission of helping all children grow smarter, stronger and kinder, we’ve always been committed to children’s overall health and wellness. We’re excited to collaborate with Phreesia to bring our purpose-driven storytelling into doctor’s offices, where we can meet new families and have a meaningful impact on paediatric health, wellbeing and the experience of going to the doctor.”
