Online learning platform Outschool has partnered with OpenEd Academy to provide up to $100 in learning credits to new students for the 2025–26 school year. The initiative gives families access to live, interest-based online classes through the Outschool platform.

Outschool, based in San Francisco, provides live online classes for students aged 1–18 across a range of subjects, including science, coding, art, and life skills. The platform hosts classes taught by independent educators.

OpenEd Academy is a virtual, accredited private school launched in 2025 by the nonprofit OpenEd Foundation. The school operates under a parent-directed model, offering flexible enrollment, support from certified educators, and has no mandatory testing or attendance requirements.

Offer ties into flexible school model

The offer applies to students enrolling at OpenEd Academy for the upcoming academic year. The company says the credits are intended to support individualized learning pathways and expand access to nontraditional educational content.

Amir Nathoo, chief executive officer and co-founder of Outschool, comments, “Outschool is thrilled to partner with OpenEd Academy to give more families direct access to personalized learning options. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to make alternative education accessible and empowering for every learner—regardless of where or how they attend school.”

Teresa King, chief executive officer of OpenEd Foundation, Inc., says, “At OpenEd Academy, we believe students learn best when their education is customized to fit who they are. Partnering with Outschool allows us to give our students even more options to explore their passions and develop real-world skills that aren't always taught in traditional classrooms.”
