London’s Imperial College plans new AI and machine learning specialist campus in White City
Imperial College has shared plans to open a new campus in White City, where it hopes to open a “powerful engine for data science, AI and machine learning”.

Imperial College says the planned campus will bring together computer scientists, mathematicians, and business experts in one building to promote collaboration and provide an “outstanding student experience”.
The proposed 12-storey development will offer spaces to the local community as well as for students and staff. Imperial College says the building will part of the UK’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard pilot programme, running without fossil fuels and using zero-carbon technologies.
The ongoing consultation is seeking views from members of the public on the proposed new campus until 26 October.
Imperial plans to submit its planning application to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham later this year and hopes to begin construction in mid-2026.
