Litero.ai launches new AI tool capable of dramatically reducing grading time for teachers
Grader for Teachers allows educators to upload student essays in multiple formats, add customizable grading rubrics, and receive grading to a human standard within minutes.
The tool has in-built plagiarism and AI detection tools and can track student progress.
In a recent test, Grader for Teachers maintained an average difference of just 0.2 grade points compared to human markers, while completing a grading report in 43 seconds per essay. This compares to the average 10-15 minutes typically spent on each paper by a teacher.
“Teachers spend up to 15 hours a week grading assignments - time that could be spent mentoring and connecting with students,” comments Alex Pokatilo, CEO tLitero.ai. “Our goal wasn’t just to build a faster grading tool, but one that educators can trust. Grader for Teachers is designed to think like a teacher, not a scoring algorithm.”
A beta version of the tool is now available for 1,000 educators to trial worldwide. Teachers are invited to trial the tool in return for early access.
