Imagine Learning launches a digital K-5 literacy program that aims to prepare students for the future

Imagine Learning, a digital curriculum solutions provider, has launched Dragonfly, a K-5 English Language Arts program that combines skills, knowledge, and dynamic media.

Dragonfly pairs the science of reading with authentic texts, explicit skills, and original media. Its clear, consistent structure aims to make high-quality instruction easier to deliver.

For teachers, the program offers ready-to-teach lessons with built-in modeling and knowledge-based instruction. For students, it aims to provide daily opportunities to read, write, speak, and collaborate.

"Our goal in creating Dragonfly was to design a curriculum that truly engages and challenges young learners — teaching reading in a way that sparks imagination and fuels curiosity about the world," explains Robert Romano, GM of Core Humanities at Imagine Learning. "Knowledge is the key to understanding. By blending skills instruction, authentic texts, and dynamic media, Dragonfly empowers students to make connections, think critically, and develop a deeper understanding of their world and their place in it."

Earlier this year, Imagine Learning partnered with the School District of Philadelphia to host a Summer Institute and boost student literacy. SDP, Imagine Learning and the Free Library of Philadelphia also co-hosted a recognition dinner honoring 15 students in grades K-8 for outstanding early learning reading projects.

Winners will be announced on 14 January 2026 as part of an online showcase featuring expert commentary on emerging trends and standout innovation. All winners and finalists will also be featured in our first print magazine, to be distributed at BETT 2026.
