Hatch Early Learning and BGCCB launch tech-enhanced early learning centre

Hatch Early Learning has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend (BGCCB) to open a new learning centre designed to provide early education and childcare services.

It aims to enhance access to high-quality early education and childcare services and address critical learning gaps among young learners.

The centre is part of a strategy to address learning deficits identified in children who did not have access to PreK or Kindergarten before the pandemic. By integrating advanced educational tools and programs, the partnership between Hatch Early Learning and BGCCB aims to equip children with the skills necessary for academic success.

Sam Bonfante, President of Hatch Early Learning, explained the purpose of the collaboration:

"We are committed to ensuring that every child shows up to school ready to learn. Our collaboration with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Coastal Bend allows us to help close the gaps in school readiness and performance for kids who weren't even in school at the time of the pandemic, expand our reach, and provide comprehensive support to early learners."

The facility will be equipped with Hatch's educational technology, including the IgnitePanel, an interactive touchscreen display, and the IgniteTable, which encourages skill development in communication and critical thinking through interactive play.

Educators at the centre will utilise Hatch's comprehensive suite of educational tools to conduct both small-group and whole-class instruction. Additionally, Hatch's collaboration with Code-Ed provides literacy resources through Key Foundations, enhancing reading skills among early learners.

The learning centre not only focuses on educational development but also supports the broader needs of the community by providing essential childcare services. This approach ensures that children receive academic support and care, addressing the needs of working families in the Coastal Bend area.

Kim Barrientos, President & CEO of BGCCB, expressed excitement about the potential impact of the new centre:

"We are thrilled to embark on this new adventure in early childhood education. By partnering with Hatch Early Learning, we can ensure that children in the Coastal Bend community have access to the resources and support they need to thrive."
