Anthology adds real-time alerts and AI-powered student journeys to Reach CRM
The latest update integrates Anthology Reach with Blackboard and Microsoft AI to support early intervention and personalized student communication.
Anthology has introduced new capabilities in Anthology Reach, its constituent relationship management and student engagement platform.
The update adds faculty and advisor alerts tied to student performance, along with AI-powered real-time journeys for personalized outreach.
Anthology provides higher education technology solutions for millions of students globally. Its product suite includes Blackboard for learning management, Anthology Student for ERP and SIS functionality, and Anthology Reach for CRM and student engagement.
The latest Reach release connects more deeply with Blackboard and uses Microsoft AI to help institutions act on early indicators of risk at scale. Faculty and advisors receive alerts when students miss assignments, disengage, or show low grades. Engagement scores are now displayed in the advisor workspace to improve visibility across at-risk populations.
Bruce Dahlgren, CEO of Anthology, says, “Faculty and advisors are deeply committed to student success, but they often lack early, reliable insight into which students are struggling. This integration is about meeting that challenge together. By surfacing those signals sooner and streamlining outreach, we’re helping institutions empower their staff when it matters most.”
AI-driven communication at scale
The update also adds real-time journeys, allowing institutions to trigger behavior-based communications for events like missed deadlines or registration activity. Staff can build automated outreach without coding, while AI suggests next-best actions, timing, and messaging to increase engagement.
These features build on Anthology Reach’s existing CRM functionality, which supports recruitment, admissions, marketing, and student support.
Anthology says the changes reflect a move toward unified engagement by linking insights, communication, and action across campus systems. By combining Blackboard data with CRM capabilities, the update is designed to help institutions move beyond traditional early-alert models.
Bruce Dahlgren adds, “By surfacing those signals sooner and streamlining outreach, we’re helping institutions empower their staff when it matters most.”
