AI-powered career platform CareerDay wins 2025 Women in Tech Incubator Competition
Hosted by Standard Chartered Americas and the Zahn Innovation Centre at Center at the City College of New York (CCNY) and aiming to support and empower women entrepreneurs in technology, the award supporting female founders awarded CareerDay its top $15,000 prize.

CareerDay helps students discover and pursue fulfilling careers using personalized, AI-powered roadmaps and interactive tools designed to enhance their undergraduate experience.
“We’re incredibly honored to be recognized as the winner of the Women in Tech Incubator Competition,” comments Sheyla Perez, Co-founder at CareerDay.
“Winning this prize gives us the momentum to expand CareerDay and support even more students with personalized, AI-driven career roadmaps. The incubator gave us the resources to refine our vision, and now we’re ready to turn that vision into impact at scale.”
“We’re exceptionally proud of the talented entrepreneurs emerging from this year’s Women in Tech Incubator,” adds Kesia Hudson, Managing Director at the Zahn Innovation CCNY. “Their vision, resilience, and innovation reflect the best of what’s possible when women are empowered to lead in tech. Our partnership with Standard Chartered continues to be a catalyst for change – helping us create a more inclusive and dynamic future for our students and the industry.”
The Women in Tech Incubator has now been running for 11 years and offers mentorships, resources, and networking opportunities to help bring transformative ideas to life. The partnership supports entrepreneurship in women though a number of initiatives including a newly renovated space housing the ‘Standard Chartered Technology Incubator for Women Entrepreneurs’ Resource Centre at CCNY.
Last year, Standard Chartered Americas and the Zahn Innovation Center at CCNY announced the 2024 Women in Tech Incubator Competition winners, celebrating the tenth anniversary of their partnership.
Two student-led ventures were selected as winners after a thorough evaluation. Easy Meets, a marketplace simplifying planning hangouts, won the top prize of $15,000, while AutoTENS, proposing to automate lower back pain relief, earned $5,000.
