The event will run alongside the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025, bringing together the brightest STEM minds from across the world. Students attending the event will have already won their respective national contests, earning a place at the prestigious finale.
The Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 is expected to attract a record number of teams. Participants will be organized into teams of between three and six students, with each team functioning as Formula 1 teams, designing, manufacturing and testing miniature F1 race cars.
The miniature cars will race on a 20 meter STEM Racing track, with the Aramco STEM Racing World Champions trophy awarded to the top-performing team.
Alongside this event, teams will also compete in more than 20 category awards, recognizing achievements across various judging categories, with each award supported by Formula 1 teams and industry suppliers.
Previous competitors have successfully progressed into careers within Formula 1 and related industries, working in fields such as aerodynamics, engineering, project management, design, finance and research. The event aims to cultivate the next generation of STEM leaders and inspire them to pursue dynamic careers in motorsport.
“Over the past 20 years, STEM Racing has inspired students around the world to pursue careers in engineering. We are proud to support a program that celebrates values that are central to Formula 1 – teamwork, innovation, and problem solving,” says Ellen Jones, Head of ESG at Formula 1. “As F1 celebrates its 75th anniversary, we look to the future, and through competitions like STEM Racing, we hope to find the next generation of talent to push the sport forward. Good luck to all the teams.”
Andrew Denford, STEM Racing Founder and Chairman, adds: "The Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 marks an exciting new chapter for our global STEM program. Once again, we will bring together the brightest young STEM talents from around the world to compete at the highest level. The World Champions title is more than just an accolade — it's a gateway to future careers in motorsport, engineering, and beyond."
