Pearson expands AI-powered video learning tool Study Prep to support students worldwide

Now available to students worldwide, Study Prep offers AI-enhanced video learning experiences, aiming to bring together human expertise and AI.
Study Prep, which launched in the first half of 2025, currently offers support in sciences, maths, and psychology with more subjects expected to be added soon.
"In today's increasingly AI-driven world, students need learning tools that not only help them master course content but enable them to learn better and think deeper, preparing them for the future," explains Ebrahim Matthews, Senior Vice President at Pearson International Higher Education.
“By expanding Study Prep globally, we're ensuring that quality educational support is available to students wherever and whenever they need it, regardless of geography or time zone."
Study Prep offers personalized study plans and an AI tutor that can scaffold learning with step-by-step guidance. An embedded AI chatbot is offered alongside video content, allowing students to ask questions about specific topics.
Pearson says its use of generative AI is backed by learning science, vetted by subject matter experts, and shows tangible results for students such as more active, engaged study.
The development follows shortly after Pearson and HCLTech announced a new partnership on AI-powered workforce and learning tools. The multi-year deal will focus on co-developing education and skills platforms to address global workforce gaps in an AI-driven economy.
