Student entrepreneurs at Virginia Tech found start-up selling AI-powered personalized greeting cards
A team of students from Virginia Tech University have launched a new start-up selling personalized greeting cards, powered by AI.

P.S. (Personalized Send) uses generative AI to create hyper-personalized cards in less than a minute. It says this offers a faster and more meaningful way to connect with loved ones than standard greeting cards.
The cards include customized text, images, and designs, alongside unique messages on the back of the card instead of a price tag. P.S. also provides reminders and recommendations to users, as well as tracked shipping.
The start-up already had hundreds of paid members, repeat orders and more than 150 percent growth on Shopify. It hopes to become the “Netflix of greeting cards”, changing how people celebrate special occasions.
The company was founded by CEO Ian Haddad, a senior student studying management consulting and analytics and CTO Theo Wallace, a senior studying computer science. Halle Keefer, Chief Content Officer, Michael Rihani, an advisor and investor, two engineers, and two marketers are also on the team.
“Traditional greeting cards can feel generic and outdated,” explains Haddad. “With P.S., we’re using AI to give every customer the ability to create a card that’s personal, beautiful, and delivered fast.”
“As alumni, it’s exciting to support the next generation of Hokie entrepreneurs,” adds Rihani. “P.S. is combining creativity, technology, and business insight to transform an industry.”
