Stanford Law School has announced the launch of its first online executive course - AI Strategy for Legal Leaders.

The self-paced course is designed to support legal executives to lead on the strategic, technical, and organizational use of generative AI

Participants will be given access to Harvey.ai, an AI platform for legal professionals, for the duration of the course.

Writing on LinkedIn, Stanford Law School’s Associate Dean Adam Sterling commented: “Designed for legal executives who are ready to lead on artificial intelligence, AI Strategy For Legal Leaders builds fluency in AI technology, governance, and strategy so legal teams can shift from risk managers to strategic partners.”

The course covers three main pillars:

  • Generative AI Technology – explaining how LLMs and related technologies work

  • AI Governance – covering the legal, regulatory, cybersecurity, and ethical challenges of generative AI

  • AI Enablement – focusing on how legal leaders can help their teams and organizations adopt AI tools

The news follows shortly after Harvey.ai partnered with four UK law schools for the first time. The partnerships aim to bring generative AI into legal education and professional training.
