Driven By Us, a UK organization focused on opening pathways into motorsport and STEM for underrepresented communities, has formalized partnerships with both Red Bull Racing and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, extending its reach into primary and secondary schools across Birmingham.

Red Bull Racing announced the partnership on LinkedIn, confirming that Driven By Us will support the team's Cultural Inclusioneers group, Career Catalyst and International Women in Engineering Day events, and career feedback sessions.

Separately, Driven By Us has returned to schools across Birmingham as a co-delivery partner alongside Star Academies and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, rolling out the primary phase of its Future Engineers Academy program.

Red Bull Racing formalizes year-long collaboration

The Red Bull Racing partnership builds on more than a year of work between the team and Driven By Us. Claire Chan, Head of Employee Experience at Red Bull Racing, said on LinkedIn: "Having worked closely with James & Driven By Us for over a year, we're delighted to formalise our partnership, continuing our commitment to advancing inclusion & talent at Oracle Red Bull Racing."

James Dornor, Founder and CEO of Driven By Us, said on LinkedIn: "This partnership with Red Bull Racing unlocks incredible possibilities from a community and outreach perspective, from inspiring the next generation through engagement to shaping inclusive pathways into motorsport. Together, we are showing what's possible when opportunity and access meet ambition."

Future Engineers Academy returns to Birmingham primary schools

The primary phase of the Future Engineers Academy has begun with assemblies across four campuses of Starbank School and for the primary cohort at Star King Solomon Academy. Students met engineers and industry experts from the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team during the sessions.

The program, which debuted in a secondary phase that returned in January, gives year six students hands-on STEM experiences designed to build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. This year's primary strand includes new creative and technical challenges alongside enhanced after-school coding clubs with updated materials and software.

The year will culminate in a competition finale where finalists present their work for judging and awards.

Driven By Us now works directly with two of Formula One's highest-profile teams on talent pipeline programs running simultaneously in UK schools.
