Premier League Primary Stars to host free mental health webinar

To mark Mental Health Awareness Week (13-19 May 2025), U.K. schools are invited to join a free mental health webinar - Nurturing Pupil Wellbeing - hosted by Premier League Primary Stars, which offers practical, curriculum-aligned teaching tools to schools in England and Wales.

The 45 minute session, which will feature a guest speaker from the Mental Health Foundation, Dr Claire-Marie Roberts, Performance Director at Coventry City FC and Chartered Psychologist, and Ruth Elborn, Education Mental Health Practitioner and former teacher.

With 95 percent of teachers reporting increased pupil anxiety in the current school year, and 86 percent observing lower self-esteem in pupils, the webinar comes at a critical time for U.K. teachers.

Taking place at 4pm on 15 May, the webinar will offer practical strategies for boosting pupils’ self-esteem, wellbeing, and resilience, with insights into the benefits of physical activity. The session will also include interactive polls and a live Q&A panel.

Premier League Primary Stars says 80 percent of teachers say their pupils are doing more to look after their wellbeing after using Premier League Primary Stars resources.

The Premier League Primary Stars resources are designed to support pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2, and cover:
