Oxford Brookes University confirms two new associate professor appointments

Oxford Brookes University in England has announced two new associate professor appointments, with Sarah-Louise Mitchell stepping into marketing practice and Karen Cripps taking on responsible management and leadership, according to LinkedIn posts from both academics.

In a LinkedIn post, Sarah-Louise Mitchell confirmed her appointment as Associate Professor of Marketing Practice at Oxford Brookes University. Mitchell, who has been at the university since 2016, has combined teaching with research in nonprofit organizations and civic participation.

She currently teaches courses including Personal Branding and Social and Nonprofit Marketing and has served as Research Area Lead for Marketing.

Reflecting on her career path, Mitchell wrote: “Delighted to announce I am now the Associate Professor of Marketing Practice at Oxford Brookes. … Grateful to have courses to teach that I love – Personal Branding and the new Social and Nonprofit Marketing – and to be Research Area Lead for Marketing to encourage and enable the team to do great work.”

New associate professor in responsible management and leadership

Karen Cripps also shared on LinkedIn that she has taken up the position of Associate Professor in Responsible Management and Leadership at Oxford Brookes University. Cripps joined the university in 2022 as Senior Lecturer and is also active in the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) community, serving as UK and Ireland Steering Committee Secretary.

Cripps commented: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Associate Professor in Responsible Management and Leadership at Oxford Brookes University! Cherry on the cake says it all! Since joining Oxford Brookes in 2022, I have had the pleasure of working in an enabling, supportive environment, without which I would not be here.”
