Digital Promise launches national education R&D advisory committee in partnership with the Alliance for Learning Innovation
Non-profit Digital Promise has announced a new national education research and development (R&D) advisory committee, in partnership with the Alliance for Learning Innovation.
The committee brings together 13 school district and charter leaders to define a national R&D agenda focused on local priorities. The group also aims to elevate evidence-based solutions that address student needs and advocate for state and local R&D investment.
Participating organizations were chosen based on their previous engagement with R&D practices, their commitment to evidence-based solutions, and their ability to represent a multitude of student populations.
Digital Promise’s President and CEO Jean-Claude Brizard says: “Education R&D is about creating real-world, evidence-based solutions that can transform the learning experience for all students. This advisory committee represents our commitment to ensuring that education research informs the development of innovative solutions focused on what really works for the students, teachers, and communities that need it most.
“By bringing together these leaders, we’re creating a powerful collective voice to shape the future of education innovation.”

Submissions are open to organizations across the UK, the Americas, and internationally. Entries should highlight measurable impact, whether in K–12 classrooms, higher education institutions, or lifelong learning settings.
Winners will be announced on 14 January 2026 as part of an online showcase featuring expert commentary on emerging trends and standout innovation. All winners and finalists will also be featured in our first print magazine, to be distributed at BETT 2026.
