Online educator The Skills Network to offer Skills Bootcamps for residents in North East England
Online education provider The Skills Network has been asked by the North East Combined Authority to provide residents in the area with two skills bootcamps.

The online courses are designed to provide the foundation skills and knowledge needed to begin or change careers that fill skills gaps in the region.
Two Level 3 fully funded courses are now available for residents in the region: Early Years Educator Skills Bootcamp and Data Analysis.
Residents from the North East Combined Authority area including North and South Tyneside, Sunderland, Newcastle City, Northumberland, Gateshead and Durham, can apply for full funding for these two courses.
The Early Years Educator Skills Bootcamp provides the foundations required to start a career in a nursery, pre-school, reception class or as a childminder. Those that complete the course will have an opportunity to progress onto an accelerated apprenticeship with one of The Skills Network’s employer partners.
The Data Analysis Skills Bootcamp covers data analysis fundamentals including data manipulation, visualization, and statistical analysis. The course aims to provide learners with the confidence to change careers or progress into a data analytics role.
Wendy Dodson, Partnerships Director for Skills Bootcamps at The Skills Network, comments: “We’re thrilled to have been appointed by North East Combined Authority to deliver our Skills Bootcamps for Early Years Educator and Data Analysis to residents living in the region. Both of our Skills Bootcamps equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to begin an entry-level career into the sectors and provide a wealth of opportunities to grow and learn.
“We look forward to working with North East Combined Authority to help develop a trained workforce ready to meet the skills gaps in the region.”
Councillor Tracey Dixon, Cabinet Member for Education, Inclusion and Skills at the North East Combined Authority, adds: "These Skills Bootcamps are a really practical way of helping local people take that next step - whether it’s returning to work, changing careers or building confidence to try something new. They’re fully funded, flexible, and designed to fit around busy lives.
"In the North East, we’ve got the talent - we just need to make sure people have access to the right opportunities and support. That’s exactly what this is about.”
