Raysil Galan promoted to executive director at EdPlus at Arizona State University

The role covers Dean and CEO administration, C-suite support, project oversight and cross-department coordination at Arizona State University’s digital learning unit.

Raysil Galan has been promoted to Executive Director of Dean & CEO Administration at EdPlus at Arizona State University, moving into a senior administrative leadership role at ASU’s digital teaching and learning unit.

Galan announced the promotion on LinkedIn, with her profile listing the new role as starting in July 2026 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

EdPlus at Arizona State University works across online learning, digital teaching, student success, emerging technology, global partnerships and higher education initiatives. Its work includes ASU Online, NeoSTEM, Study Hall, Dreamscape Learn, ASU+GSV Summit, Zai Xian, Cintana Education and Baobab.

In the Executive Director of Dean & CEO Administration role, Galan oversees administrative support to the Dean and CEO and C-suite executives.

Her remit includes strategic alignment, streamlining operations, overseeing projects and supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives across EdPlus.

The role also involves cross-departmental collaboration and liaison work between staff, executives and external partners.

Ten years at EdPlus

Galan has worked at EdPlus at Arizona State University for more than 10 years. Before the promotion, she served as Senior Director of Dean & CEO Administration from September 2023 to July 2026. She was previously Director of Dean and CEO Administration from June 2022 to September 2023.

Her earlier EdPlus roles include Executive Assistant to the Dean from February 2021 to June 2022, Assistant to the Dean from October 2018 to February 2021, and Administrative Specialist from July 2016 to October 2018.

Galan linked the promotion to EdPlus’ work on access, digital learning and the student experience. She wrote on LinkedIn: “I'm thrilled to announce that I've been promoted to Executive Director of Dean & CEO Administration at EdPlus at Arizona State University.

“For the past several years, I've had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team dedicated to expanding access to education, advancing digital teaching and learning, and reimagining the student experience for learners everywhere. Grateful to the entire EdPlus community for their continued trust and support, and I'm looking forward to this next chapter and everything we'll build together.”

Administrative leadership across digital learning

Before joining EdPlus, Galan spent more than nine years at Purchase College, SUNY, where she was Senior Assistant to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Special Projects from June 2007 to June 2016.

She also worked for the Office of the Inspector General at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York. Her roles there included Intelligence Officer, Investigative Analyst and Executive Assistant to the Deputy Inspector General, General Counsel, and Chief of Investigations.

EdPlus describes its work as blending technology with teaching and learning ecosystems to support scale, delivery and learning outcomes in traditional and nontraditional settings.
