Media group Holtzbrinck, which owns Macmillan Learning, has announced the launch of the Holtzbrinck AI Hub in San Francisco, aiming to scale and put into action ideas in education, science, and media.

The AI Hub connects Holtzbrinck’s network of researchers, publishers, and educators with startups, technologists, and investors. It aims to create a link between Europe and the US, supporting collaboration and scaling ideas faster.

"At Holtzbrinck, we don’t just watch AI transform science, education, and media. We shape that future responsibly," says Katharina Neubert, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Investments at  Holtzbrinck and Managing Director of the AI Hub. "Through the AI Hub, we will deepen our ties with the Silicon Valley ecosystem and unlock new business opportunities."

Holtzbrinck says the AI Hub will also help identify promising startups, identify emerging trends, and share early insights across its network, with a focus on practical innovation.
