Former LinkedIn and AWS experts expand career services at The Apex Institute with AI-based Job Guarantee

After training more than 1,000 students in in-demand cloud technology skills, The Apex Institute has added an AI-backed Job Guarantee to its career service.

The Apex Institute offers online training on in-demand technology skills. It currently has a 90 percent job placement rate, with students going on to start careers at companies including Microsoft and OpenAI.

Apex says the demand for cloud professionals who can build the infrastructure powering AI has never been greater, while many training programs still cover generalist roles that are being automated by AI.

"We're not just teaching people to code or get certifications – we're positioning them in the infrastructure that powers AI itself," explains Adetayo ‘Tayo’ Ibijemilusi, Co-founder at Apex and a self-taught certified cloud engineering leader who developed the new curriculum. "While everyone fears AI taking jobs, we're giving people the skills to build and manage the systems that make AI possible."

Co-founder Malik Mbaye adds: "We've managed to crack the code on job placement. Now with AI, we've proven this works regardless of background, education, or experience.”

Rather than focusing on theoretical coursework, students at Apex are immediately tasked with real infrastructure projects through partnerships with active consulting firms. This ensures graduates have genuine work experience and professional portfolios when they enter the job market.

"We teach you to solve real business problems," says Ibijemilusi. "Our students are deploying actual cloud infrastructure, automating real business processes with AI, and solving problems that companies pay six figures to solve."

Apex aims to support 100,000 students to transition into an AI-related career over the next ten years.
