The Very Group unveils Leadership Essentials graduates and creates menopause awareness e-learning module
The Very Group, a digital retailer that operates Very and Littlewoods, has announced its latest Leadership Essentials graduates.
In a LinkedIn post, it said: “The group got stuck into exploring everything it takes to be a great leader over five jam packed modules, from leading with confidence, sharpening their communication skills, understanding their leadership styles and supporting high performance to leading through change. All while keeping our values at the heart of their leadership approach: proud, trusted, together, innovative and ambitious.”
It added: “With the programme expertly led by our Senior Talent and Development Partner, Louise Baylis, the group were in great hands. We’re excited to see what’s next for everyone as they put their learning into action across the business.”

Menopause awareness
The Very Group’s commitment to being a menopause friendly workplace has been recognised by Henpicked.
With over half of its colleagues being female, menopause is something which will impact the majority of the workforce - either first hand or through their teammates.
Henpicked, a UK-based community and digital platform, is supporting The Very Group on its journey to become an accredited organisation for its work in this area. Very has introduced a number of new resources to support those going through menopause, including the creation of an awareness guide and an e-learning module. And through the company’s women at Very (WAVE) network, colleagues have been involved in hosting coffee mornings and events to raise awareness, while offering guidance to those needing further support.
Kim Pritchard, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at The Very Group, says: “We want everyone at Very to feel welcomed, represented and valued, especially when they’re going through big life events such as the menopause.”
“We’ve worked really hard to make sure those going through the menopause feel supported in the workplace, while also educating those around them on the side effects and impacts it can have - both in their personal lives and in the workplace. This recognition from Henpicked is a significant milestone in our journey toward building a truly inclusive workplace.”
