American Indian College fund hosts fifth annual Summer of Success Conference

The American Indian College Fund (College Fund) is set to host its Fifth Annual Summer of Success Conference: Cultivating Connections into Success from 19th May to 21st May. The three-day virtual event targets high school and college students, staff, faculty, and families, with a focus on Native culture, experiences, and determinants of college success.

The American Indian College Fund, a leading charity supporting Native higher education for 34 years, emphasises "Education is the answer." In 2022-23, it provided $17.4 million in scholarships and direct student support to American Indian students, totalling over $319 million since its inception in 1989.

The conference aims to equip participants with strategies for achieving a meaningful college experience aligned with their career aspirations. Faculty and staff will also explore ways to bolster student programming for college and career success.

While the conference is open to all, Sunday 19th May  has been designated as "All Relatives Day." Beginning at 1 p.m. MDT, the College Fund will conduct five sessions aimed at connecting parents to resources, offering an informative FAFSA session, providing professional journey resources, and addressing accessibility accommodations in college.

The schedule is structured to accommodate attendees interested in multiple sessions, with each session tailored for high school, college, tribal, traditional, and nontraditional students, offering insights into their academic journeys.

Sessions on 20th May and 21st May will commence at 3 p.m. MDT to accommodate work and school schedules. These sessions will cover various topics including professional development, expanding alumni networks, and other college-related tips and strategies. All topics will be addressed through interactive informative sessions, small group workshops, professional and student panel discussions, and insights from guest speakers and higher education experts.

Registration for the Fifth Annual Summer Conference: Cultivating Connections into Success is now open.
