University of Phoenix launches new mobile app offering free college credit pre-evaluation

The University of Phoenix has launched a new app, called TransferPath, that allows students with some credit but no degree to save costs on a college credit pre-evaluation.

The free app allows students who have previously attended community college, a four-year university, or another institution to explore associate and bachelor degree options at Phoenix College.

The University of Phoenix offers credit transfer possibilities and accepts credits from more than 5,000 accredited institutions. Students can transfer up to 87 prior eligible credits.

“We understand our students are often continuing their educational journey with us,” explains Devin Andrews, Vice President, Admissions and Evaluation at the university.

“University of Phoenix is built for the busy, working adult, many who have already completed courses for college credit, and often at multiple schools. We built this app to empower prospective students to upload transcripts and get faster answers on how their past credits may transfer—all from the convenience of their smartphone.”

The patent-pending app is available on Apple Store and Google Play.

The University also offers the Transfer Student Guide, a resource designed to help students understand college transfer opportunities, save time, and reduce the cost of their evaluation.
