Snapplify acquires content platform Baobab as plans to expand access to academic books and digital content
Snapplify, an online learning platform, has announced it has acquired UK-based digital content platform Baobab.

Snapplify says the move will strengthen its reach in the UK and Europe and increase its catalogue for schools, universities, and libraries as it aims to “unlock education access everywhere”.
Baobab already has partnerships with Mallory International and the African Books Collective, offering access to academic and cultural content. These will be integrated into Snapplify’s platform, offering multi-lingual and locally-relevant AI-curated content.
“Baobab has helped students connect with world-class content — from UK institutions to African publishers,” says Wesley Lynch, CEO at Snapplify. “Together, we’re removing barriers and opening doors for learners globally.”
“Joining forces with Snapplify means even more institutions and readers can benefit from the network we’ve built,” adds Julian Russ, Director of Tula Publishing and Baobab. “It’s a powerful next step for educational access, cultural diversity, and global publishing.”
Snapplify expects the acquisition to complete within weeks, subject to regulatory approvals.
