Coursera appoints Anthony Salcito to lead global enterprise business
Coursera has named Anthony Salcito as its new General Manager, Enterprise, as the company strengthens its focus on workforce skills and institutional partnerships. The appointment was shared by Salcito in a LinkedIn post and confirmed by Coursera Chief Executive Officer Greg Hart.
Coursera, an online learning platform working with universities and industry partners, delivers courses, degrees, and professional certificates to more than 140 million learners worldwide.
Coursera targets enterprise growth under new leadership
In his new role, Salcito will oversee Coursera’s global enterprise business, partnering with companies, campuses, and governments to build workforce readiness through technology-driven learning. He will also help scale Coursera’s Skills Tracks initiative, a framework designed to guide learners from foundational to advanced proficiency using verified, data-backed pathways.

Industry veteran brings decades of EdTech experience
Salcito joins Coursera after serving as Chief Institution Business Officer at Nerdy, parent company of Varsity Tutors, where he worked with educators and institutions to expand access to tutoring and enrichment programs. Before that, he spent over 20 years at Microsoft as Vice President of Worldwide Education, where he helped drive initiatives including Live@EDU (Office 365), Partners in Learning, the Microsoft Innovative Educator program, and Showcase Schools.
He has also served on the boards of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Western Governors University, and Teach.org, and currently co-chairs the board of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
